A programme accredited under the IBF Standards is eligible for funding under the IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS), subject to all eligibility criteria being met. Candidates are advised to assess the suitability of the programme and its relevance to participants’ business activities or job roles.

Financial Training Scheme (FTS)
A programme recognised under the Financial Training Scheme (FTS) and is eligible for FTS claims is subject to all eligibility criteria being met. This in no way represents an endorsement of the quality of the training provider and programme and participants are advised to assess the suitability of the programme and its relevance to participants’ business activities or job roles.
The FTS is available to eligible entities based on the prevalent funding eligibility, quantum and caps. FTS claims may only be made for recognised programmes with specified validity period. Please refer to www.ibf.org.sg for more information.

Khairul Alam
BEc, FICP, CPA, Graduate Diploma in ComplianceWith over three decades of experience in banking and finance, Khairul specialize in compliance, accounting, and risk management. Beginning his career in auditing at KPMG and Foo Kon & Tan (CPA), Khairul honed keen financial scrutiny and regulatory compliance skills.
Transitioning to banking, he assumed roles that deepened his understanding of financial operations and regulatory frameworks. As Head of Private Banking Compliance at Union Bancaire Privee, SA, he led compliance efforts for Asia Wealth Management, ensuring adherence to anti-money laundering regulations, transaction monitoring, and regulatory advisory. Managing teams in Hong Kong and Singapore, he reports to senior leadership and maintained close relations with regulators.
During his tenure at Morgan Stanley, he oversaw compliance for International Wealth Management across the Asia Pacific, securing pivotal banking licenses in Singapore and Hong Kong. As Regional Head of Private Clients Compliance for Asia at ABN AMRO Bank N.V., he managed compliance functions across multiple locations, playing a crucial role during the bank's merger with Fortis Bank, overseeing anti-money laundering initiatives and obtaining banking licenses across Asia.
Throughout Khairul’s career, he held diverse roles in treasury control, regulatory risk management, and product control at esteemed institutions such as OCBC Bank, Coutts Bank von Ernst, HSBC Republic, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, and Deutsche Bank. These roles furnished him with a holistic understanding of financial operations, risk assessment, and compliance protocols.
Khairul holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Monash University, complemented by professional certifications like Graduate Diploma in Compliance, Financial Industry Certified Professional (FICP), and membership in organizations such as ACAMS and Australian CPA.
As a trainer, he draws upon his extensive experience to deliver comprehensive and engaging sessions on compliance courses. His training programs blend theoretical knowledge with practical insights, empowering professionals with actionable skills.
